What Day is It Today and easy to make crafts...

Hello Everyone!

I hope life has been treating all of you well.  To reference my title, I honestly have no idea what today is!  I am pretty worried that on a Sunday I am going to wake up, get dressed, and come to work!

I have been in constant motion lately.  Between, work, school, and house duties half the time I am a day ahead or behind and the other half of the time I am too distracted worrying about school and grades to care what day it is!

To share some good news, I did get an 85 on my statistics midterm!  Statistics may be one of the hardest classes I have ever taken.  I don't think that my brain works like those of you that enjoy math and probabilities, however, I am actually doing well!  I am working my Tushie off, but I am doing well!

Today I wanted to share some random projects with you that I want to try when I have some down time or can't sleep one night.

Wedding Fever and Table Ideas

Happy Tuesday Night!

How is everyone doing?

I am feeling a little crazy tonight...Wedding fever has hit.  I have been so calm and relaxed through this whole process, even doing the invitations.  I think because It Didn't Feel REAL!

Getting married didn't feel REAL!  It does tonight people...it really, really does.

About three weeks left, my best ladies have made flights and arrangements to come into town, I have a dress...Mer needs a dress.

I feel like I have a million things I need/want/have to do.

I just spent the last 45 minutes cutting out hearts to make my drink stirrers.

More importantly I need to write our CEREMONY!

AHHHHHHHH.......

I am so glad that I didn't freak out until right now.  Do some brides freak out for a year?!  I don't think that my heart or brain could take it.

However, tonight while I was cutting out hearts, I was thinking that I need to figure out how I want the tables to be set up.

Here are some ideas.
Image found on Wedding Bee
I love this theme of hearts.  It goes with our theme, but some of our tables are going to be outside and I'm worried the carefully made decorations will blow away.  Plus, we are having jars with floating candles and flowers.  Maybe too much?
Prost to the Host
I am not going to do this for each table, but isn't the heart cute  at each table setting?  Also, the DIY table cloth is going to be a definite for another party!

I like the fun, easiness of these decorations.  They scream to me partay!

We are just having white linens so I have a blank canvas and three weeks to decide.
DIY Wedding Inspirations
I love this!  There is no instructions but I think all you have to do is spray on starch to make the string stiff.

Sorry I'm all over the place tonight!  A combination of little sleep, lots to do, and feeling a little manic tonight...maybe it's the Wedding FEVER!

Lots of love,

Jess

So utterly, crazy, emotionally and physically exhausted...

Hi Guys/Gals/People...

I don't have a lot to say tonight.  I am sooo tired.  I have to take an exam tomorrow for one of my classes, and I have been trying to work full days (i.e not go home early if I don't feel good!).

So I worked a full day and then came home, ate dinner with Mer (Thank you $5 subway subs!), and studied until right this minute.

I have to confess I have been putting off the studying so now I am having to cram it in, so yes that is definitely my fault!

Also, as most of you know I work at a medical practice and I had my first patient that I was close with pass away yesterday.  I didn't realize how affected I would be.  All I could keep asking the nurses I work with was, "Does this get easier?".  None of them could really answer.  I think it is different for each person.

So now I have an awesomely cold icepack on my neck and am lying with one snoring cat on the pillow next to me, and a warm purring cat stretched out across my legs.  I refer to the one on my legs as my purring heating pad.

I love that no matter how tired, hurt, or stressed I am I can always enjoy our kitties, eating dinner with my sweetheart, and watching an old 20/20 on ID.

It is definitely the small things.

Now I will leave you with two thoughts.

One:
 Two:

I hope everyone else is enjoying the small things tonight, and don't worry, I have so many good posts coming up so check back!

Lots of love,

Jess

The Bigger Picture and some cool stuff....

Hi all!

How did everyone's Thursday go?  I feel like this week absolutely flew by for some reason.

Again today I am soooo tired.  Some thoughts on that:
First, neck surgery sucks.
Second, hurting from trying to hold up my head also sucks.
Third, I didn't realize how large and heavy my head was until I had neck surgery.
Fourth, when I see patients at work they might be the ones with the problems, but the look on their faces when they see a tech with a BIG FAT NECK BRACE, is priceless!
Fifth, is does not take much to make me smile and have a good day.

Seriously, I work for a cardiology practice and patients looked at me all day and asked if I was o.k.  Or maybe their look of horror was they thought work was why I was wearing the neck brace.  Regardless, I wish I had a camera to capture the looks!

On the same thought my third mom told me something the other week when I was having a breakdown.  Yes I have three moms and one day if you are lucky I will tell you about them!

This very smart woman in my life told me that currently I have no control.  I can't control my body, I can't control the number of hours I am able to work, I can't control that I can't go to the gym, and I can't control that Meridyth and I are not making lots of money.  That is when she said the word Faith.  Have faith.

Funny enough just hearing her say it calmed me.  So ladies and gentlemen that is what I have been trying to do this past week....HAVE FAITH.
Please e-mail me if you know original artist/owner of image
I am not sure if this photo "means" faith, but isn't it awesome?

O.k., now some great products or items I am drooling over.  Like any person when I am feeling sad, what do I do?  Look at items online that I want/love/think are cool, etc...

Dinosaur planter from etsy shop CoastalMoss.  So cool! Rawwwwwerrrr!
Hedge Hog cheese grater!  Found on DesignBoom.  Who wouldn't want to grate cheese with this?!
Japan, Nagano Hotel, Tunnel of Lights.  This looks magical!

Now I will leave you with this last thought from an awesome shop on etsy called Gayana
I'm off to be happy AND eat icecream!

Until tomorrow,

Love,

Jess
